Why Horses?

Horses experience a full range of emotions some, which include relief, grief, anger, and contentment. Horses are social, have roles within their herd (group), and are intuitive to their surroundings and interactions with humans. Horses play, fight, communicate, and love. They will respond and react to their surroundings, which make them an excellent source for people to visibly see their own needs through the reactions and behaviors of the horses during a session. Incorporating the horses alone in a counseling session require individuals to stretch outside of their comfort zone and adapt their behaviors to meet their own personal goals while choosing to interact or observe the horses in session.

Counseling Services

Equine Therapy

Focus on mental health and behavioral changes. With equine therapy, we provide immediate cause and effect situations, encourage change from dysfunctional patterns to successful ones, challenge clients in a non-threatening manner, and rapidly break down defense barriers.

Individual Counseling

A process through which you can work one-on-one or with family members with a licensed therapist. You’ll have the opportunity to explore your feelings and beliefs while working through challenging or influential memories.

Group Counseling

Our goal is to use a solution-focused approach to empower youth in our community to have social connections during social distancing. New groups are offered every 6 weeks for age groups 8-12 years old and 13-17 years old.

Horses are incredibly forgiving. They fill in places we are not capable filling ourselves.
